A warm, welcoming and busy young family based in Twickenham is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised full-time Child-Friendly Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their home. This is a hands-on housekeeping role within an informal family household. The family already employs a full-time nanny, and mum is very involved day to day, so they are looking for somebody who is naturally comfortable working alongside others and becoming part of the wider support structure within the home.

The role is primarily focused on high-standard housekeeping, organisation and helping to keep the household running smoothly and calmly during a busy stage of family life, particularly with a new baby due in October. The cooking side of the role is important, but it is very much centred on healthy, fresh, practical family food rather than formal cooking or entertaining. The family would love somebody happy to prepare simple meals for the adults, children and nanny, alongside some batch cooking and meal preparation to ensure there is always good food available in the fridge during the week.

Typically, this may involve preparing around five or six simple family meals per week on rotation, helping with children's food, and generally keeping the kitchen and food organisation side of the household running smoothly. The family is also looking for somebody genuinely child-friendly and naturally at ease around babies and young children. Whilst this is not a nanny role, they would love someone happy to be an extra pair of trusted hands when needed, whether that is helping briefly with the children whilst mum showers, keeping an eye on sleeping children for a short period, or simply supporting the overall flow of busy family life. This role would suit somebody calm, capable, warm and highly practical who enjoys supporting families in a hands-on and collaborative way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full housekeeping duties to a high standard
  • Daily tidying and household organisation
  • Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management and bed changing
  • Maintaining family living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen areas

  • Monitoring household supplies and assisting with grocery organisation
  • Receiving deliveries and helping with general household logistics
  • Preparing fresh, healthy and simple family meals
  • Batch cooking and meal preparation for the week ahead
  • Preparing children's meals and snacks where required
  • Pantry, fridge and kitchen organisation
  • Supporting mum and the nanny with the overall smooth running of the household
  • Being an extra pair of trusted hands around the children when appropriate
