A respectful private household based in Godalming, Surrey, is seeking an experienced and proactive part-time housekeeper to help support the smooth running of a large home. This is a lovely role for somebody who enjoys creating a calm, organised and welcoming home environment and who takes pride in maintaining high standards throughout the household.

The role will involve a mixture of hands-on housekeeping, household support and light meal preparation. The principals are looking for somebody kind, capable, discreet and naturally helpful, who can work independently and become a trusted support within the home. Whilst this is not a care role, one of the principals is currently undergoing medical treatment, so the family would value someone warm and thoughtful who is happy to help ensure the household runs comfortably day to day.

Duties to Include:

  • General housekeeping and maintaining overall cleanliness and organisation
  • Laundry and bed changing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
  • Tidying and resetting rooms
  • Grocery shopping and household errands
  • Preparing simple fresh lunches, soups and light meals
  • Preparing vegetables and assisting with simple meal preparation
  • Clearing breakfast and kitchen reset
  • Monitoring household supplies and keeping essentials stocked
  • Helping maintain a calm, well-run and welcoming home environment

Requirements:

  • At least three years’ previous experience in a similar private household housekeeping role essential
  • Proactive and organised
  • Discreet and trustworthy
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Warm, calm and professional approach
