A warm, friendly and professional family based just outside St Albans are seeking an experienced Housekeeper Nanny to become an integral part of their household. This is a housekeeping-led role that combines high-quality housekeeping, household organisation, and family administration with wraparound childcare for two school-aged children.
The family have employed the same full-time nanny for several years. Now that both children are in full-time education, they are looking to transition to a housekeeping-led role while continuing to provide wraparound childcare before and after school. Both parents have demanding full-time careers and typically work from home around two days each week, spending the remaining three days in London.
They are looking for someone who can work independently, use their initiative and confidently manage the day-to-day running of the household. They describe themselves as a warm, easy-going family with a good sense of humour who like to give their employee the independence to manage their own day. They are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys using their initiative and is confident in making sensible day-to-day decisions without needing close direction. As both parents work full-time, with the father travelling regularly, and they have no local childcare support, reliability is extremely important. They are looking for someone they can genuinely trust to become a valued, long-term member of the family.
During term time, the childcare element is concentrated around the morning routine (approximately 7:00am to 8:00am) and the after-school period (approximately 4:15pm to 7:00pm), leaving the majority of the day to focus on housekeeping and household management.
