Hours Required: Approximately 15 hours per week, ideally over 2 days. Flexible days, but not consecutive, and the house needs to be clean and prepared for the weekend. Some flexibility for 2 or 3 days may be possible.

Overview
A welcoming family in Cranleigh, Surrey is seeking an experienced part-time Housekeeper to care for their spacious 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom home.
The focus of the role is on high-standard housekeeping, organisation and ironing. The family is looking for someone proactive and observant, with the initiative to identify what needs doing and manage their responsibilities independently.
The house is generally very tidy, so the successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in keeping the home clean, organised and well maintained.
The family has two small, friendly dogs, so a genuine love of dogs is essential. An important part of the position is being able to undertake occasional pet and house sitting when the family is away. This will be arranged in advance and paid additionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and tidying throughout the home to a high standard
- Deep cleaning on a rotational basis
- Laundry and ironing to a high standard, particularly shirts
- Changing and organising bed linen
- Managing household organisation, including linen cupboards and general storage areas
- Kitchen upkeep, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
- Taking out bins and recycling
- Occasional household errands as required
- Pet and house sitting when the family is away
- Occasional ad hoc administrative support, such as photocopying, post office runs, answering the telephone or making bookings
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar housekeeping role within a private household
- Excellent laundry and ironing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organised, proactive and able to use initiativeAble to work independently
- A genuine love of dogs
- Able and willing to undertake occasional overnight pet and house sitting - this is an essential part of the role
- Trustworthy, reliable and discreet
- Driver with own car preferred
