Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate daily housekeeper/nanny based in Sutton, London for a permanent part-time role (20 to 25 hours per week). The position has a strong focus on housekeeping duties (approximately 70%) with some nanny responsibilities (around 30%), supporting two children – a son aged 14 years and a daughter aged 9 years.
This role is ideal for an organised, proactive, and empathetic individual who can provide consistent household support, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and assist with the children\’s routines when required.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping (primary focus – 70%)
- Daily cleaning, tidying, and organising of the home (3-bedroom house, two floors, bathroom upstairs)
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Shopping for household supplies and groceries
- Meal planning and preparation, including supporting the mother in learning to cook nutritious meals
- Light gardening support when possible (gardener in place for major upkeep)
Nanny and Family Support (approximately 30%)
- Supervising the children when the mother is busy
- Taking the son to football training and other scheduled activities
- Arranging and coordinating appointments or trips
- Providing occasional PA/administrative assistance
- Being available for urgent ad hoc childcare cover in evenings or weekends if needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a housekeeper with some nanny or family support responsibilities
- First Aid certification
- High standard of cleaning and organisational skills
- Compassionate, understanding, and able to adapt to changing family needs
- Ability to cook and assist with meal planning
- Discretion and respect for family privacy
- Preferably a driver, though not essential
- Fluent in English (Cantonese speaking would be an advantage but not essential)
- Right to work in the UK
- Available Monday to Friday for 20-25 hours per week
