A professional couple based in Chelsea are seeking a reliable, proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support the smooth running of their home and assist with day-to-day household tasks. The role is primarily focused on housekeeping, household organisation and general family support, with occasional assistance with their young child when required. The successful candidate will work closely with the mother, who is currently on maternity leave, providing practical support and helping maintain a calm, organised and well-run household. This role would suit someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, shows initiative and enjoys working independently within a private home.

Key Responsibilities
  • General housekeeping including detailed cleaning
  • Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation
  • Making beds and maintaining organised living spaces
  • Managing household supplies and grocery shopping
  • Dishwashing and maintaining the kitchen area
  • Running errands including dry cleaning, returns and deliveries
  • Managing deliveries and household organisation
  • Taking out rubbish and managing recycling
  • Maintaining a safe and organised home environment, ensuring cleaning products and household items are stored safely and appropriately
  • Occasional food preparation and light cooking
  • Supporting household administration such as occasional appointment scheduling
  • Walking the family's two small dogs when required
  • Occasional childcare support when requested by parents, following their routines and guidance
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a private household role such as Housekeeper or Family Assistant
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Proactive with the ability to take initiative
  • Comfortable working in a home with a young child and dogs
  • Trustworthy, discreet and reliable
  • Good spoken English
  • Non-smoker and must live in a non-smoking household due to family allergies
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Driving licence preferred but not essential
  • First Aid certification required
