A warm and welcoming family based just outside Oxted is looking for an experienced Housekeeper - Nanny to become an important part of their busy family home. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity within a beautiful Grade II listed family home, set in approximately three acres of mature gardens in a peaceful rural setting, just a few minutes from Oxted town centre and the children's school.
The role is approximately 70% housekeeping and 30% childcare, with the emphasis firmly on housekeeping. As the children are all in full-time education, the majority of the day is dedicated to managing the home before providing flexible family support later in the day when required. The family is looking for someone who naturally takes ownership of their role, plans ahead, confidently makes suggestions and is always looking for ways to help the household run as efficiently as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full housekeeping duties throughout a substantial family home
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-organised household
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
- Bed making, changing bed linen and linen management
- Planning and organising the week's household priorities to ensure everything runs efficiently
- Proactively identifying tasks and using initiative to keep the household running smoothly
- Providing warm, flexible family support when required
- Occasional school pick-ups using the family car
- Caring for and supporting the children when required
- Caring for the family's miniature Dachshund when required
Requirements:
- Previous private household experience essential
- Excellent housekeeping, cleaning and organisational skills
- Experience managing laundry and caring for delicate garments
