A warm and friendly family who have recently moved to Claygate are seeking a reliable and proactive Housekeeper-Nanny to support them as they settle into their new home. This is a housekeeping-led role, focused on maintaining a clean, organised and well-run household. The family are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of the home, allowing the mother time to focus on her children and manage her business.
Alongside housekeeping, there will be some childcare support, particularly while the mother is at home. This would suit someone who is comfortable around young children and happy to assist when needed, while understanding that the primary focus of the role is housekeeping. The ideal candidate will be kind, positive, detail-oriented and able to work independently, while fitting naturally into a relaxed family environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Full housekeeping, including cleaning to a high standard throughout the home
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- Changing bed linen and maintaining tidy living areas
- General household organisation and upkeep
- Loading and unloading the dishwasher and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Ensuring the home is running smoothly and identifying what needs attention
- Supporting with some childcare when required, particularly while the mother is present
- Assisting the household as needed following the arrival of the new baby
- Previous experience working in a private household
- Strong housekeeping skills with good attention to detail
- Proactive and able to take initiative
- Kind, positive and easy to have around the home
- Comfortable working in a home with young children and pets
- Fluent English
