Overview
A lovely family in Ealing is looking for an experienced, proactive and child-friendly Housekeeper to join their household on a permanent, part-time basis.
This is a predominantly housekeeping role, with responsibility for the day-to-day cleaning, laundry, organisation and general upkeep of the home. Cooking is also an important part of the position, and the family would love to find someone who is confident and comfortable in the kitchen, happy to prepare family meals, children's lunchboxes and snacks, and equally comfortable following recipes.
The mother is at home and will ordinarily manage the children's care herself, so this is not a regular nanny role. However, she suffers from migraines and, when these occur, she may be unable to drive, collect the children or care for them. On these occasions, the Housekeeper will need to be able to step confidently into the childcare, including school collections and taking responsibility for the children as required.
It is therefore important that the successful candidate is not only an excellent Housekeeper but also genuinely warm and confident with children, and comfortable taking sole responsibility for them when needed.
The family currently live in a large flat in Ealing and are considering a move within West London in the future. They are looking for someone seeking a long-term position who can become a trusted, dependable member of their household.
