HomeOrganisers Limited is assisting a private family based on the Crown Estate in Oxshott who are seeking an experienced and practical live-in housekeeping and gardening team to support a gentleman within his private residence, alongside assisting at a nearby family property.
This role may suit two candidates seeking a shared long-term live-in position within a respectful private household environment.
The successful candidates will live within a newly built five-bedroom residence occupied by a gentleman who remains largely independent and continues to enjoy his own routines and lifestyle. A key part of the role is helping to create a calm, well-run, and welcoming environment around him, while providing the reassurance of a trusted and capable presence within the home, day to day.
This is not a formal care position. However, the family is looking for candidates who are naturally observant, discreet, and proactive in their approach to household management. The right candidates will be comfortable becoming a trusted part of the household, quietly keeping an overall eye on the smooth running of the home, offering occasional practical assistance where helpful, and helping to ensure the principal feels comfortable, supported, and never isolated within his environment.
The role would suit candidates who are warm, grounded, and emotionally intelligent, and who understand the balance between being attentive and respecting independence and privacy.
Alongside supporting the gentleman's residence, the role will also involve assisting at the family's main property located a few minutes away, where additional household support will also be required.
The household includes three much-loved Airedales, so confidence around large dogs and a willingness to assist with walking and general care is very important. The gardening side of the role is focused more on maintaining the presentation of the grounds and outdoor areas throughout the year, alongside practical household support.
The family is happy for the successful candidates to work together as a team and divide responsibilities according to strengths and experience, provided both homes are maintained to a consistently high standard.
The family is seeking candidates looking for a long-term role where trust, reliability, warmth, and genuine pride in the home are highly valued.
This is a lovely long-term opportunity for mature, trustworthy, and self-motivated candidates who enjoy working independently, take pride in maintaining a beautiful home, and value becoming a trusted part of a respectful private household.
