Overview
A lovely family in Wandsworth Common is looking for an experienced Housekeeper Nanny to take responsibility for the day-to-day care and organisation of their home while also supporting their two school-aged children.
This is a housekeeping-led role, approximately 60% housekeeping and 40% childcare. The family is looking for someone who is confident managing their own time and completely comfortable moving from housekeeping duties to childcare.
The children are aged 11 and 9. The eldest is fairly independent, while the youngest requires more support with his daily routine, ensuring homework is completed and getting to his clubs and activities.
During the school day, the focus will be on full housekeeping and ensuring the home is beautifully cared for and organised. Before and after school, the focus will naturally move towards the children, their routines and preparing family meals.
The family is looking for someone energetic, warm and caring who genuinely enjoys being around children, while also being an excellent and organised housekeeper. They would like someone reliable and comfortable working in a busy family home, who can provide clear boundaries for the children with a kind and consistent approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping and cleaning of the family home
- Laundry and ironing for the family
- Making beds and keeping bedrooms tidy and organised
- Keeping the home tidy, organised and well maintained
- Regular household organisation, including kitchen cupboards and the children’s wardrobes
- Food shopping and household errands
- Preparing meals for the whole family
- Supporting the children with their morning and after-school routines
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Supervising and ensuring homework is completed
- Taking the children to clubs and activitiesProviding appropriate supervision and care for the children
- Helping the household run smoothly and taking ownership of day-to-day household tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Housekeeper Nanny within a private household
- Excellent housekeeping and household organisation skills
- Strong cooking skills and enthusiasm for meal preparation
- Warm, caring and confident with school-aged children
- Energetic, organised and reliable
- Comfortable working in a busy family home
- Able to work independently and take ownership of the home
- Driver required
- Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid, or willing to obtain
- Permanent, full-time position
- Car provided for use on duty
