The Position
A lovely family in Southfields is seeking an experienced, warm and dependable Housekeeper / Family Assistant to take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of their home.
The position combines high-standard housekeeping, healthy family cooking, household organisation, school collections and care of the family's two dogs.
Just as importantly, the family is looking for someone kind, thoughtful and personable who enjoys providing friendly companionship and practical day-to-day support. A calm, reassuring manner, discretion and the ability to anticipate the family's needs will be particularly valued.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General housekeeping, cleaning and maintaining the home to a high standard
- Laundry, ironing and care of clothing and household linens
- Preparing fresh, healthy family meals
- Grocery shopping, household shopping and running errands
- Keeping the home organised, tidy and running smoothly
- Assisting with school collections and occasional family arrangements
- Walking, feeding and caring for the family's two dogs
- Arranging fresh flowers, caring for household plants and attending to the smaller details that make a home welcoming and beautifully presented
- Providing friendly companionship and practical day-to-day support
- Taking a proactive approach to household tasks and anticipating the family's needs
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper, Family Assistant or in a similar private household position
- Excellent housekeeping and organisational skills
- Confident preparing healthy, home-cooked family meals
- Warm, kind, trustworthy and discreet
- Naturally caring, considerate and happy to provide companionship
- A calm, mature and reassuring approach
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently
- Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of household and family tasks
- Fluent spoken English and excellent communication skills

The property is conveniently located approximately two minutes' walk uphill from Southfields Underground Station. Driveway parking is also available for candidates travelling by car.
