Overview
A lovely professional family in Esher is looking for an experienced and highly organised Nanny Housekeeper to join them on a permanent basis, caring for their two young children and helping to keep family life organised and running smoothly.
This is a true Nanny Housekeeper position, with approximately 60% childcare and 40% housekeeping and family support. The family employs a cleaner, so this is not a heavy-cleaning role. They are looking for someone who combines excellent, engaged childcare with a practical approach to the everyday household duties that come with looking after a busy family.
Their four-year-old son is at school during the day, while their 2.5-year-old daughter is at home. The family would like her to get out each day, whether to an activity, playgroup, the park or another age-appropriate outing, as well as enjoying relaxed time at home.
The family understands that this is a combined role and expects the childcare and household duties to work naturally alongside one another. Their daughter is very happy playing or colouring nearby while everyday jobs such as cooking or laundry are being done, with quieter periods during the week providing time for tasks such as ironing and organisation. The grandparents also often help with the children and school runs on Fridays, which can provide additional time for household duties.
The family home has a large garden, swimming pool and fish pond, so a strong awareness of water safety is essential.
The family is warm, relaxed and genuinely looking for someone who can become a trusted and valued part of their family life. They are looking for someone kind and energetic with the children, but also naturally organised, tidy and proactive, who will take ownership of their responsibilities and enjoy helping family life run smoothly.
