Are you an experienced Senior Oncology Nurse ready to take the next step into clinical leadership? HomeLink Healthcare is looking for an experienced Assistant Clinical Lead to join our expanding Hospital at Home service, supporting the delivery of high-quality Community Oncology services across London.
Working with the Clinical Lead, you will help provide clinical leadership, support and mentorship to our Community Oncology Nursing team while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse who enjoys supporting others, driving high clinical standards, and helping shape the future of community cancer services.
Although this is a leadership role, you will remain clinically active, providing direct patient care when required to support service continuity, workforce resilience, and outstanding patient outcomes.

About the Role
Working autonomously with Clinical Lead oversight, you will help ensure the safe, effective, and compassionate delivery of Community Oncology services across London. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the day-to-day clinical delivery of the Community Oncology service
- Delivering safe, high-quality Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) within patients' homes when required
- Providing clinical advice and support to Community Oncology Nurses
- Supporting clinical governance, patient safety, and quality assurance activities
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing colleagues delivering specialist oncology care
- Supporting SACT competency assessments, education, and ongoing professional development
- Monitoring treatment pathways, recognising toxicity and ensuring appropriate escalation
- Supporting the investigation of incidents, clinical risks, and service improvements
- Working collaboratively with consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, pharmacists, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams
- Helping ensure patients and carers receive outstanding clinical care, education, and support throughout their treatment journey
- Participating in service development, audits, and continuous quality improvement
- Supporting operational resilience and participating in the on-call rota where required
About You
You are an experienced Oncology Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and supporting others to achieve the highest clinical standards. You enjoy coaching colleagues, leading by example, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You are organised, compassionate and confident making clinical decisions within a community setting. You will also have:
- Current NMC registration
- Oncology nurse with a SACT qualification
- Minimum five years' post-registration nursing experience
- Significant experience delivering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT)
- Strong knowledge of SACT treatment protocols, toxicity management, and escalation pathways
- Experience managing central venous access devices including PICC lines and Port-a-Cath devices
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting nursing colleagues
- Excellent communication, organisational and clinical decision-making skills
- Community nursing experience desirable
- Leadership or management qualification desirable
- Experience supporting service development, audit, or quality improvement desirable
- Experience caring for private patients desirable
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
