About the Role
As a Supported Housing Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals to maintain their accommodation and take meaningful steps towards independence. Working closely with clients, you’ll provide tailored, person‑centred support to help them build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive change. This includes supporting with everyday practicalities such as managing finances, completing benefit applications, and building effective budgeting habits. This is a rewarding and hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You’ll build strong, trusting relationships with clients while maintaining clear professional boundaries, and take pride in keeping accurate, up‑to‑date records of all interactions. What you’ll be doing
- Supporting clients to move forward in their lives by providing advice, guidance, and practical help, connecting them with the right services and opportunities.
- Welcoming new clients into the service and helping them settle in, making sure they understand their rights, responsibilities, and have everything in place to thrive, including benefits and housing arrangements.
- Getting to know each client as an individual by carrying out needs and risk assessments, then creating tailored support plans that reflect their goals, strengths, and aspirations.
- Keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes by maintaining clear, accurate, and up‑to‑date records of all client interactions.

- Experience working with people who may have complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.
- Understanding of the causes of homelessness and social exclusion, and the approaches which seek to address these.
