About the Role:
As a Travelling Communities Domestic Abuse Engagement Worker, you’ll be part of our dedicated Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Outreach team, building trusted relationships and providing support to communities across Wiltshire. This is a vital role focused on raising awareness and strengthening responses to domestic abuse. You’ll work closely with individuals and organisations within the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, helping to build knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to respond safely and effectively. Through your work, you’ll play a key part in nurturing a culture of understanding, support, and empowerment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver our domestic abuse awareness training, ensuring that the training materials are culturally sensitive, accessible and engaging.
- Champion safeguarding by following policies and procedures to keep everyone safe.
- Build trust and strong working relationships with the target communities.
- Empower clients by offering advice, information, and support to connect them with the right services.
- Maintain accurate client records using our system, INFORM.
