We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated qualified Counsellor who shares GIPSIL’s values of Compassion, Courage and Collaboration. You’ll play a key role in coordinating and delivering a high quality Community based Counselling service for parents/carers.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Counselling Coordinator, you’ll support the effective running of the parent counselling service.
- You will provide one-to-one counselling for parents/carers and support with initial assessments where necessary.
- You’ll work collaboratively with the Counselling Coordinator to develop the parent counselling service.
- You will manage your own caseload, maintaining records and meeting reporting requirements as appropriate to ensure best practice.
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised Counselling qualification (minimum Diploma level).
- Experience in Counselling adults, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- A willingness and ability to support with initial assessments.
- A compassionate, professional approach.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to working as part of a supportive team.
- Courage to work with congruence, empathy and acceptance.
