Part-time (up to 0.6 FTE) required for September 2026. Our school enjoys a reputation for excellence but above all is a happy school where children feel safe, valued and supported by strong relationships with their teachers and friends. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated practitioner to join our successful team as we expand our current provision.

Responsibilities

  • A teacher of Art and DT with QTS who is able to lead and manage the department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their creative potential.
  • Able to develop engaging schemes of work that align with curriculum developments.
  • Able to support and coach colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
  • Able to play an active role in whole-school initiatives, enrichment activities and contribute to the pastoral structure of the school.
  • Understand the teaching of Prep School children.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with specialization in Art and Design Technology.
  • Ability to lead and manage a department and deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Ability to develop and implement engaging schemes of work aligned with current curriculum developments.
  • Willingness to support and coach colleagues and participate in whole-school initiatives.
  • Experience with pastoral responsibilities within a school setting is desirable.
