We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team.

The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.

This role is vital in assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

The Support Worker will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalised care tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of clients.
  • Assist clients with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
  • Implement care plans for individuals with specific needs such as dementia or hospice care.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties when necessary.

Requirements

  • Strong background in patient care, with experience in senior care or home care settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with clients' needs and concerns.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients as required.
