Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. You’ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client. This is a part-time role available for a caring, funny and down to earth support worker in the Sheffield area. This position is for 8 - 12 hours a week, over 2-3 days which would include alternate Sundays, but there are no Saturday shifts. The hours each day would fit around the other support worker in the package and between you ensure that one of you was on shift each day and cover for each other in times of sickness or holidays.
Client & Responsibilities
Our client is a gentleman who has memory problems and epilepsy resulting from a brain injury. He needs support with prompts and reminders with everyday tasks. You will assist with attending appointments and shopping trips, provide general help around the home, and help keep his diary up to date so he has information to remind him of things. You will also help to order and organise his medication, so you need to be proactive and have a sense of maturity. No personal care is involved.
