Support Worker – Learning Disabilities, Autism & Mental Health Homecare Gurus•High Wycombe, GB
We are recruiting compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our Supported Living services. You will be supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health needs to live independently while promoting choice, dignity, and person-centred care.
Some of our services require female Support Workers due to the specific needs of the individuals we support. This requirement is applied where it is a lawful occupational requirement.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
- Administer and manage medication safely in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Support individuals with eating and drinking plans, including PEG feeding where trained.
- Assist individuals with complex health needs, including catheter care where required.
- Respond appropriately to seizures and other health-related incidents.
- Promote independence, community inclusion, and meaningful activities.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and follow behaviour support plans.
- Maintain accurate care records and complete documentation to a high standard.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies are always followed.

- Medication Management
- Epilepsy Awareness
- Mandatory Care Training Certificate

For Live-In care, we are able to offer carers in any part of England and Wales.
