Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in a care, support, healthcare, or similar environment is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
Desirable
- Previous experience supporting adults, elderly people, people with disabilities, or individuals with additional support needs.
- Relevant Health and Social Care qualification.
- Training in moving and handling.
- Medication administration training.
- First aid or basic life support training.
- A valid driving licence, where the role requires travelling between locations or supporting individuals in the community.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to individuals according to their individual support plans
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility where required
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, and household tasks.
- Monitor and report any changes in an individual's physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing to the appropriate person.
- Follow individual care and support plans at all times.
