Care Assistant / Support Worker
Role Overview
We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistants and Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in care homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care while promoting dignity, privacy and independence.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence care.
- Support with mobility, transfers and use of moving and handling equipment.
- Assist with meals and drinks and promote good nutrition and hydration.
- Support with medication where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Support individuals with dementia, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and other care needs.
- Encourage participation in activities and community engagement.
- Monitor and report changes in health, behaviour, mood or wellbeing.
- Identify and report concerns such as falls, pressure damage, safeguarding issues or deterioration in health.
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and company policies.
- Complete accurate daily care records and handover information.
