About Us

Homecare Gurus Ltd is a growing domiciliary care provider based in High Wycombe. We are committed to delivering safe, person-centred, compassionate care to adults in their own homes. We are now looking for a caring, organised and motivated individual to join us as either a Registered Manager or Registered Manager Designate.

The Role

We are open to appointing either:

  • An experienced Registered Manager who is ready to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our domiciliary care service; or
  • A Registered Manager Designate who is currently working as a Deputy Manager, Care Coordinator, Field Care Supervisor, Senior Carer or similar, and is ready to progress into a Registered Manager role with support.

If appointed as a Registered Manager Designate, you will receive support and guidance to prepare for the role, develop your management skills and complete the CQC Registered Manager application process when both you and the provider feel you are ready. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to progress in adult social care and help shape a growing domiciliary care service. It is also a largely autonomous role and will involve a significant amount of lone working. The successful candidate will need to be confident managing their own workload, prioritising tasks and working independently while keeping clear communication with the provider and wider team. You will be expected to plan your week effectively, stay on top of compliance tasks, follow up actions without being prompted and maintain accurate records in line with company and CQC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service
  • Supporting the business to meet CQC regulations and quality standards
  • Promoting safe, person-centred care for service users
  • Overseeing care planning, risk assessments and care reviews
  • Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and quality issues appropriately
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, training and supervision of care staff
  • Ensuring staff are competent, supported and suitable for their roles
  • Monitoring care delivery, including spot checks, audits and quality assurance
  • Building positive relationships with service users, families, staff, commissioners and professionals
  • Supporting growth of the service in a safe and sustainable way
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about high-quality care and confident working in a regulated care environment. You may already be a Registered Manager, or you may currently be working as a:

  • Deputy Manager
  • Care Coordinator
  • Field Care Supervisor
  • Senior Care Worker
  • Quality Lead
  • Team Leader in domiciliary care or adult social care

This role would suit someone who is self-motivated, disciplined and able to work independently. You must be comfortable working without constant supervision and confident enough to manage your time, organise your workload and take ownership of your responsibilities.

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience working in domiciliary care, homecare or adult social care
  • Good understanding of care quality, safeguarding and person-centred care
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to support staff, service users and compliance tasks professionally
  • Good knowledge of risk management and safe care delivery
  • Confidence using care management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Right to work in the UK
  • For developing candidates, willingness to progress towards the Registered Manager role and complete the CQC application process when ready

Desirable Requirements

The following would be an advantage:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
  • Experience preparing for CQC inspections
  • Experience growing a domiciliary care service
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

What We Offer

Salary up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and working pattern. Full-time or part-time working options considered. Opportunity to become the CQC Registered Manager. Clear career progression and salary review pathway. Supportive provider and senior leadership. Opportunity to shape and grow the service. Training and development support. Flexible working arrangements where appropriate. Performance-related bonus opportunities linked to registration, quality and business growth.

Salary and Progression

We understand that the right candidate may be at different stages of their career. Therefore, we are open to discussing either:

  • Option 1: Experienced Registered Manager - A part-time or flexible role for someone already experienced and ready to manage a regulated domiciliary care service.
  • Option 2: Registered Manager Designate - A development opportunity for a strong Deputy Manager, Care Coordinator or Field Care Supervisor who is ready to progress into a Registered Manager role with support.

Salary reviews will be considered following successful CQC registration, completion of probation, achievement of quality standards and business growth milestones.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Caring and professional
  • Reliable and well-organised
  • Calm under pressure
  • Confident leading a team
  • Honest and accountable
  • Committed to high standards
  • Able to balance compliance, quality and commercial awareness
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for people receiving care
  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a largely lone-working role
  • Able to organise workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proactive in following up actions and keeping others updated
  • Honest, accountable and able to work without close supervision
