We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to elderly residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a genuine passion for senior care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Implement and monitor individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
- Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that promotes dignity and respect for all residents.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with residents empathetically.
- Leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff or teams.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.
- DBS must be enhanced and on update service.
