Homecare Gurus Ltd is looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Live-in Personal Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping people live safely, comfortably and independently while receiving high-quality person-centred care.
As a Live-in Personal Care Assistant, you will live in the client's home during your placement and provide day-to-day support with personal care, companionship, household tasks and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, including use of mobility aids where required
- Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition and hydration
- Prompting or assisting with medication, in line with care plans and company policy
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting with light household duties, laundry and keeping the home environment safe and tidy
- Attending appointments or supporting social activities where required
- Monitoring changes in health, wellbeing or behaviour and reporting concerns promptly
- Following the client's care plan and maintaining accurate daily records
- Promoting dignity, independence, choice and respect at all times
We are looking for someone who is:

- Comfortable living in a client's home during placement

Essential:
- Previous care experience, ideally in live-in care, domiciliary care or a similar role
- Right to work in the UK
- Good spoken and written English
- Willingness to complete training and follow company policies
- Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to apply for one
- Two professional references
Desirable:
- Care Certificate or relevant health and social care qualification
- Experience supporting older adults, people with dementia, mobility needs or long-term health conditions
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle, although this is not always essential

Live-in placements may vary depending on client needs. Typical placements may include: 1 week on / 3 weeks off, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 3 weeks on / 1 week off, or other agreed rota patterns. Rest breaks will be provided in line with the client's care needs and agreed working arrangements.
