We are seeking a Support Worker who brings patience, reliability, and a calm, positive approach to their work. This is a rewarding 1:1 role supporting a young adult with complex needs to live a fulfilling and supported life at home and in the community.
You will be supporting a young adult living at home with their parents in the Rotherham area. They require 2:1 support due to complex physical, learning, and communication needs associated with rare genetic conditions and Autism. They can sometimes present with challenging behaviour and benefit from a calm, consistent, and structured approach. They enjoy attending a day service during the week where they take part in activities such as swimming, bowling, cooking, and outings. At home, they enjoy listening to music on their iPad and have strong attachments to familiar routines and meaningful items. Building trust, understanding their communication style, and supporting them in a positive and engaging way is key to this role.

About You
- Patient, kind, and reliable with a calm approach
- Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism and complex needs, including challenging behaviour
- Confident communicator able to build trust and consistency
- Able to work effectively as part of a support team and family environment
- Full UK Driving Licence required, aged 21+ for insurance purposes
