Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70

We are currently recruiting for two positions:

  • Position 1 – Part Time 12 hours per week. Must be flexible to work both days and nights. Days: 8:00am – 8:00pm, Nights: 8:00pm – 8:00am.
  • Position 2 – Waking Nights 36 hours per week. Waking night shifts only. Nights: 8:00pm – 8:00am.

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and engaging Waking Night Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley. This role would suit someone who is naturally warm, interactive and happy to get involved. About the Role

  • Providing 2:1 support with daily routines and activities
  • Personal care and medication support
  • Encouraging engagement in interests and hobbies

About You

  • Full clean UK driving licence (21+ required for insurance purposes)
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK – you must be eligible to work in the UK. Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas.
  • Friendly, patient, and well-organised
  • Experienced with Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviour
  • Clear and confident in spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with the person being supported and the wider team
  • Care experience preferred
  • Committed to providing safe, respectful, and consistent support
