Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70

We are currently recruiting for two positions:

  • Position 1: Part Time
    12 hours per week
    Must be flexible to work both days and nights
    Shift patterns:
    Days: 8:00am - 8:00pm
    Nights: 8:00pm - 8:00am
  • Position 2: Waking Nights
    36 hours per week
    Waking night shifts only
    Shift pattern:
    Nights: 8:00pm - 8:00am

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and engaging Waking Night Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley. This role would suit someone who is naturally warm, interactive and happy to get involved.   • Providing 2:1 support with daily routines and activities
  • Personal care and medication support
  • Encouraging engagement in interests and hobbies

  • Monitoring safety and wellbeing

About You

  • Full clean UK driving licence (21+ required for insurance purposes)
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas
  • Friendly, patient, and well organised
  • Experienced with Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviour
  • Clear and confident in spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with the person being supported and the wider team
  • Care experience preferred
  • Committed to providing safe, respectful, and consistent support
