We’re looking for a brilliant Resident Host to join the Hone team at Dalston Works. This isn't your traditional front-of-house role. At Hone, we want the places we manage to genuinely feel like home. Our Resident Hosts are a huge part of making that happen — they're the familiar face residents know, the person who can solve a problem, welcome someone new to the building, host a great event and make sure the everyday details are taken care of.

The role involves being part of our Front of House team and one of the main points of contact for our residents at Dalston Works. No two days will look exactly the same, but you’ll be responsible for:

  • Being a friendly, professional and knowledgeable first point of contact for residents
  • Answering questions and helping resolve day-to-day resident queries
  • Managing our resident help desk and keeping residents updated
  • Supporting resident communications through our app
  • Helping us create the kind of community people enjoy being part of
  • Managing deliveries and post
  • Welcoming and signing in visitors
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the building
  • Keeping Front of House organised, presentable and welcoming
  • Conducting apartment viewings
  • Updating property listings, including Rightmove
  • Supporting the application and move-in process
  • Completing check-in and check-out reports
  • Supporting inventories and tenancy administration
  • Preparing and issuing resident correspondence, including rent review communications
  • Helping plan and run resident events
  • Bringing ideas to the table for how we can make life at Dalston Works even better
  • Getting to know our residents and helping create a genuine sense of community

Who we're looking for: You don't necessarily need to come from a traditional property background. You might currently work in hospitality, hotels, Build to Rent, co-living, residential property, serviced apartments or another customer-focused environment. More importantly, we're looking for someone who is:

  • Naturally warm, confident and comfortable speaking to all kinds of people
  • Genuinely interested in delivering a great resident experience
  • Organised and able to stay on top of admin
  • Comfortable using different systems and learning new technology
  • Proactive — if you spot something that needs doing, you take ownership of it
  • Calm and solutions-focused when something doesn't go to plan
  • Confident conducting apartment viewings and speaking to prospective residents
  • Happy working independently while being part of a close-knit team

This role works across four days: Thursday: 2pm–8pm, Friday: 8am–8pm, Saturday: 8am–8pm, Sunday: 8am–8pm. That means Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are yours.

£28,000–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

A little about Hone: We're building a different kind of residential management company. One that's kinder to residents, kinder to pets, kinder to neighbours and kinder to the planet. We believe great property management is about much more than managing a building. It's about understanding the people who live there, getting the brilliant basics right and creating places that people are proud to call home. If that sounds like the kind of place you'd like to work, we'd love to hear from you.
