Location: Crawley, West Sussex (Full-Time In-Office based role - must live in commutable distance)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic salary + uncapped commission (£40,000 – £45,000 OTE)

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our growing team in Crawley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with businesses, building relationships, and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline. You will play a key role in generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, representing the company at industry events across the UK, and supporting prospective clients from initial contact through to signed agreement. This is a career-focused role with a clear progression pathway into Business Development Manager and Senior Business Development Manager positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to businesses via phone, email, LinkedIn, and targeted campaigns to generate new opportunities
  • Book video demonstrations for prospective clients
  • Attend industry events across the UK to represent the brand, network, and identify new business opportunities
  • Progress opportunities from completed demonstration through to signed contract
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients and maintain regular communication throughout the sales process
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients from the initial conversation through to handover to the Account Management team
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline updates within the CRM system
  • Work closely with the wider sales and marketing team to support business growth targets

Progression Opportunities

First 3–6 Months You will focus on:

  • Learning the platform and industry
  • Outbound prospecting
  • Booking demonstrations for senior team members

Following Successful Training You will progress into delivering your own demonstrations and move towards the role of: Business Development Manager (BDM)

Within 12–18 Months High performers will have the opportunity to progress into: Senior Business Development Manager

This role includes:

  • Managing and mentoring a small team of BDMs and BDEs
  • Supporting team performance and development
  • Taking on additional leadership responsibilities

Essential

  • Confident and professional communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building ability
  • Motivated, target-driven, and commercially minded
  • Comfortable speaking with businesses over phone, video, and in person
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport
  • Willingness to travel across the UK for industry events and campaigns

Desirable

  • Previous sales, business development, or customer-facing experience
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Interest in technology, SaaS, or property-related industries
