The Accounting Assistant supports the daily financial operations of Home Sweet Home. This position focuses on processing invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining organized records. Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing Support
- Prepare and send invoices using established processes and templates
- Double-check basic details such as rates, job information, and required documentation
- Maintain a steady daily workflow with guidance from the team
- Accounts Receivable (AR) Support
- Help track outstanding invoices and update AR reports
- Assist with basic follow-ups on unpaid invoices
- Provide status updates when requested (e.g., invoiced, pending, paid)
- Data Entry & Filing
- Maintain organized digital files and records
- Enter data into internal systems (e.g., QuickBooks, VT, or similar tools)
- Run basic reports and check for duplicates or missing information
- Quality Checks
- Follow checklists to ensure accuracy of invoices and payments
- Double-check work before submission
- Escalate questions or discrepancies when unsure
- Communication & Team Support
- Respond to internal questions (Ops, Accounting) with clear and complete information
