About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Weekend Retainer Care Worker to join our team on an alternate weekend basis. This is a flexible role designed to provide support cover when required, while offering guaranteed retainer pay for your availability. You will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Provide personal care
- Support with medication administration
- Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Follow care plans and accurately record care delivered
- Respond to short-notice requests for support (deployment shifts)
- Maintain safeguarding standards and promote service users’ wellbeing
Pay and Benefits:
- Retainer Pay: £45.50 per 8-hour shift (paid regardless of deployment)
- Deployment Pay: £14.62 per hour for any hours worked when called out
- Flexible working structure with guaranteed base earnings
