This role involves working on equipment across recycling, manufacturing and secure processing environments, where equipment uptime directly impacts production and operational continuity.
You will operate within a technically strong, collaborative team that shares knowledge and supports one another, while still taking full ownership of the quality and outcomes of your work. You can be located anywhere within the Midlands.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and take ownership through to resolution
- Carry out planned servicing, inspections and repairs to maintain equipment performance
- Install and commission new machines on customer sites to required standards
- Respond to breakdowns where equipment failure is impacting production or operations
- Work directly with site teams to resolve issues and maintain operational continuity
- Prepare machines and components for installation, refurbishment or dispatch
- Support workshop based rebuild and repair activity within the service centre
- Contribute to the setup and organisation of a growing regional engineering function
- Strong mechanical fault finding with working electrical knowledge
- Able to diagnose issues under pressure and follow problems through to completion
- Capable of working independently and managing your own workload
- Clear communication with site teams and customers during fault resolution
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
- Salary £37,000
- Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
