Growth Marketing Manager in Swaffham

Growth Marketing Manager in Swaffham

Swaffham Full-Time On-site
Home Park Consulting Ltd

Salary: £42,000. Reporting to the Managing Director

Your first marketing job where the MD asks what you think, not just what you’ve done....

You’ve had a few solid years in B2B marketing. You’ve run campaigns, briefed designers, built email programmes and measured the numbers. What you probably haven’t had yet is the chance to own it all and work closely with an SME leader to decide where the next pound of marketing budget goes.

That’s this role.

The business

An established SME in West Norfolk that manufacture products for the power and energy market. They've genuinely ambitious plans and many of the building blocks in place to double in size over the next 5 years. To get there, the MD wants a marketing partner, not another pair of hands. You’ll report directly to him and work alongside the sales and senior leadership team.

What you’ll actually be doing

  • Building the plan. Write the 12-month marketing and growth plan with the MD, then run the calendar that delivers it: launches, campaigns, events- the lot.
  • Running campaigns across every channel. Email, website and SEO, but also product literature, sales collateral, presentations and promotions. This is a full-mix role, not another social media or digital marketing only job.
  • Directing the external telemarketing team strategy. Decide the specific focus of who gets called and with what message, always with ROI in mind.
  • Owning the CRM. Segment the customer base, find inactive accounts and cross-sell opportunities, and improve the dashboards the company uses to make decisions.
  • Managing the agencies. Brief designers, web developers and SEO specialists, hold them to budget and judge whether they’re delivering.
  • Telling the MD what’s working and what isn’t. Cost per lead, return on spend, which channels earn their keep. The brief is clear: insight and recommendations, not reports for the sake of it.

Who we’re looking for

  • Three or more years B2B marketing experience.
  • A technical or engineered-product background would be ideal: examples would be HVAC, building services, controls, electrical, industrial equipment or similar. You need to be comfortable explaining a technical product to a trade buyer.
  • Confident with numbers and data. You like knowing why a campaign worked.
  • Organised enough to juggle several suppliers and deadlines at once.
  • Willing to challenge assumptions professionally and back it up with evidence.
  • A CIM qualification is a plus but not essential.

The practical bits

  • Salary of £42,000 (some wriggle room for the right person but let's keep it realistic!)
  • Hybrid working but with 3 days from a West Norfolk office so a realistic commute from King’s Lynn, Dereham, Thetford, Swaffham, Downham Market, Fakenham, Watton or nearby is essential.
  • Plenty of room to grow. As the business scales, so can the marketing function, and you’ll be the person who built it.
