The role is a full‑time (36 hours per week) Autism Support Worker, providing 24‑hour support for an individual with a learning disability, autism and mental health needs in the Weston‑Super‑Mare area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 24‑hour, 360° wrap‑around support covering all aspects of the individual's life (daily living, appointments, social activities, cooking, cleaning, grooming, dressing).
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and a calm presence during times of distress.
- Assist with recreation and hobbies such as board games, cooking, and other mutually agreed activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full‑time commitment of 36 hours per week, with 12‑hour shifts (08:00‑20:00 or 20:00‑08:00, Monday‑Friday, with weekend availability).
- Valid UK Driving Licence (must have).
- Experience or knowledge of autism support is preferred.
- Good listening and communication skills, calm under pressure, and a friendly, polite, patient, and caring attitude.
- Schedule
- 12‑hour shifts (08:00‑20:00 or 20:00‑08:00)
- Monday to Friday with weekend availability.
