Home Needs Express is seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Supervisor to join our busy Nisa Local convenience store in Witham. This role involves supporting the day‑to‑day running of the store, supervising staff, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and ensuring smooth store operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations and support the management team
- Lead and motivate staff during shifts to achieve high performance
- Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
- Assist with stock control, replenishment, and merchandising
- Maintain store cleanliness, presentation, and product displays
- Support cash handling, till operations, and end‑of‑day procedures
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and issues professionally
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and company policies
- Monitor staff attendance and punctuality during shifts
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Support training of new employees
- Help achieve sales targets and minimise waste/losses
