At Home Instead, we offer industry-leading care and support to older adults in their own homes in the local area. As a Care Assistant, you’ll be supported through our comprehensive, industry-leading training and ongoing skills development, with opportunities to gain specialist knowledge, helping you progress your career.
We’re looking for a new team member who will visit clients in their own homes during the evenings and weekends. No two client visits are ever the same and each client has an individual care plan tailored to their needs and aims. Care plans may include:
- Personal care, helping your client to wash and dress, or help with self-care. This may include supporting with their evening routine, changing into bedclothes and hair care, or helping them get ready for the day.
- Support with medications including offering reminders, administering medication and assisting with prescriptions.
- Meal preparation and cooking dishes from scratch, helping clients maintain a balanced diet while preparing the food that they enjoy.
- Companionship including accompanying clients around their local area such as shopping, cafes and meeting friends to help them stay engaged in their community.
Qualifications
No previous experience or qualifications are needed to become a Care Assistant, we’ll support you to learn all you need! Must have a means of transport as clients are predominately cared for in their own homes, or would like you to accompany them on appointments or outings and can live in remote areas.
