Our offices are located in Saintfield and Newtownards, and this role will involve days working at both locations, with the additional option of 1-2 days per week working remotely. Our team of Care Professionals support clients from Greater Belfast to Lisburn to Bangor to Newcastle, Co. Down. We have been active in this local community since 2015 and our mission is to brighten the lives of seniors giving them a sense of purpose, wellbeing & worth. Our mission statement is 'With warm and thoughtful care, we help you live your best life' - we believe this applies both to the clients we support and to our team of employees. Our office team is close-knit, multi-skilled and adaptable - but we have come from all walks of life and not all of us had a background in care prior to joining Home Instead.
Job Description
An opening has arisen for the role of Recruiter. At Home Instead, the Recruiter holds responsibility for the end to end recruitment process, from managing the campaigns which generate applicants through screening, interviews, inviting to induction training, the building of the employee digital file, and wellbeing checks until each new hire is several weeks in the role. We are looking for someone who has a passion for people and a natural flair for identifying talent, to select and build a pipeline of high quality, engaged Care Professionals. The type of care we provide is different to most home care services in Northern Ireland (minimum one-hour visits, clients matching with Care Professionals, always introduced, and a variety of care services provided including home help, errands in the community, dementia support, meal preparation and personal care). Candidates respond well to a warm and professional initial contact, including story-sharing which highlights what a typical day looks like as a Home Instead Care Professional.
Experience of the end to end recruitment process is an advantage, but we recognise that some candidates may have some specialty experience, and may bring other skills alongside such as social media marketing, training, community events, etc. You will work within the People Team to support our valued Care Professionals through their journey and career with an award winning care business. You will carry some individual objectives and some team-based KPIs.
The Role
- Manage all aspects of recruitment activity ensuring compliance with legislation, regulators and Franchise Standards.
- Develop and implement creative recruitment campaigns online and within the local community.
- Manage the candidate experience creating a positive and engaging proposition.
- Proactively source candidates using a variety of sources which produce high quality candidates.
- Develop own networks for sourcing candidates within the local community.
- Develop and maintain our approach to recruiting on social media by generating interesting, innovative and timely content and campaigns.
- Research, plan and successfully deliver regular community events including attending fairs, exhibitions, recruitment events and any other appropriate events.
- Support candidate selection activities.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of recruitment related information using the SmartRecruiters Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Achieve targeted recruitment figures.
- Ensure compliance with Home Instead's Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.

- Team player who is self-motivated, results driven and resilient.
- Be confident and self-motivated with the ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with experience using internet sourcing with the ability to learn and adopt new technologies where appropriate.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of delivering a responsive end to end recruitment service in a fast paced environment.
- Experience of recruitment marketing, social media and other digital communication tools, using a variety of attraction methods to source high quality candidates.
- Good understanding of legislation relating to recruitment including Enhanced Criminal Record checks (Access NI), referencing and Right to Work checks.
Additional Information

This is a full-time role, working flexibly between our two offices and with the option of some remote working days. There is an occasional requirement for flexibility to work outside normal office hours including participating in the weekend on-call, working one weekend in approximately every 8 weeks.
Salary £27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience. This role is UK based and the right to work in the UK will need to be established as part of the recruitment process.
