Roles and Responsibilities as a Care Assistant:

  • Companionship - spending quality time with your client, and being a friendly, familiar face.
  • Home Help/Meal Preparation - assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, cooking simple meals or preparing their ready meals.
  • Medication Support - reminding or assisting with taking medications.
  • Personal Hygiene - supporting with dressing, undressing, toileting and bathing.
  • Getting Out and About - accompanying them to the shops, a café, garden centre, or just a walk for fresh air.
