Overview
We are looking for an individual with a kind, compassionate heart who wants to make the difference to the quality of life for our Client in the Borough Green area as a Live-In Carer. This role involves you living in the Client\’s home and providing a series of non-medical based services, including personal care, to help maintain their independence in their own home.
For this specific Client, we are looking for an applicant who has previous experience working with individuals with Lewy Body Dementia or experience in Dementia Care. However, any experience in the care sector is valued, this could of involved supporting an elderly family member or voluntary service. You will have a passion for helping and supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities
- Assist with medication management/ ordering of medication (training provided)
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Help maintain a structured and calm environment
- Support with mobility and safety in the home
- Communicate effectively with Office Team when updates are required
Qualifications
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Previous experience supporting individuals with dementia (not essential)
- Understanding of Lewy Body Dementia or willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy and a calm demeanor
- Right to work in the UK/ Ireland
Additional Information
As a Live-In Carer, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the Client, as well as a separate room to stay with access to a TV and Wifi. Pay is Β£125 per day. In addition, we offer comprehensive ongoing training and support.
