Job Title:Live-In Care Professional (Male Only)
Location:Weston-super-Mare
Job Type:Full-Time, Live-In
Salary:Β£129 per day (including food allowance)
We are looking for aresponsible, caring, and compassionate male-only live-in care professionalto support a gentleman living withCADASILβa rare form of dementia that affects memory, mood, and cognitive function. This is a rewarding role for an experienced care professional who is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
The successful candidate will bemotivated, empathetic, and confident using their initiative. Adriver is preferred, as this will support greater independence for the client.
Placement Dates:
- Initial placement:18th August β 29th September 2025
- Second placement:21st November 2025 β 5th January 2026
- Ongoing:Rota-based care thereafter (details to be discussed)
Key Responsibilities:
- One-on-one support and companionship
- Personal care, mobility assistance, and medication management
- Support with daily routines, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Emotional support through memory loss and mood changes
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns to family or healthcare professionals
- Act proactively and independently to meet the clientβs needs
Requirements:
- This is a male-only roledue to personal care needs
- Live-in care experience is essential
- Previous experience supporting individuals with dementia or neurological conditions
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn about,CADASIL
- Self-motivated, empathetic, and emotionally resilient
- Excellent communication skills
- Driver preferred
- Right to work in the UK
