Home Instead is an American owned company, with offices throughout the USA, Europe and with 255 offices across the UK. We are recognised by The Financial Times as being one of the top 3 employers in the UK, this is because we respect our staff and work with them to ensure all parties are happy and contented.
We provide Care Professionals on a one-to-one basis to clients in their own homes for a minimum of 1-hour assignments. We provide 'proper care', no short visits, ever. Being a franchise we work within a given area covering Hatfield, Welwyn Garden, Borehamwood and Potters Bar and the villages in between. This means all staff should have a UK driving licence and a vehicle that they can use for work as clients have home visits.
We do not have set shifts; we will work with our care pro's availability and there is lots of flexibility as we cover hours between 6.00am and 10pm. We are happy to speak to people who can cover 12 hours per week. We do require all staff to work their agreed hours on alternate weekends, both Saturday and Sunday. We are also happy to speak to people who are looking for considerably more hours, as we are happy to discuss your personal availability and see if we can make it work for us both.
We are happy to consider people with no experience who have an interest in joining the fastest growing service industry or those who have been working as care assistants but wish to join a highly professional company who have provided over 1 million hours of care to clients last year.
We offer the following:
- Rates between £13.40, double time on Bank Holidays.
- You never get paid for part of an hour - minimum 1-hour visits.
- Travel expenses between £0.30/per mile and £0.45/per mile.
- You are paid when travelling between clients.
- You are paid for all time spent training, e-learning and workshops.
- Paid holidays and pension.
- Employee Assistance Programme - great advice when you need it.
- Flexible working hours when possible.
- Career progression is assured, if that is what you want.
- Lots of other benefits.
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes.
- Able to work alternate weekends.
- Lives locally and within our franchise area; if outside our area we will refer you to your local office.
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
