Care Assistant in Norwich

Home Instead Norfolk are expanding their team and looking for caring, compassionate Elderly Befriender Care Assistants to support clients living at home with a range of needs throughout Norfolk and Cambridge and in your local area. We currently have care vacancies available with immediate starts.

Profession: Elderly Befriender Care Assistant

Pay: £15 per hour (£16.81 earned wage including holiday pay) with working availability during the week and alternate weekends.

With clients needing a mixture of morning, afternoon and evening support. We currently need Elderly Befrienders with availability to support our clients between 7am and 10pm; the more availability you have, the more client visits we are able to allocate to you. We accept availability of 7am - 2pm, 7am - 6pm, 9am - 10pm, 2pm - 10pm, 6pm - 10pm, and 7am - 10pm (preferred). All our Elderly Befrienders work alternate weekends to ensure continuity of care to our clients and typically work between 10 - 35 hours per week depending on your requirements.

We're looking for candidates who may already have experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Elderly Befriender or in Domiciliary Care. We would also love to hear from anyone who has experience caring for loved ones or been a volunteer. Being a Care Professional means you need to be adaptable, personable but ultimately put others first. Your role may include:

• Companionship
• Helping with some possible personal care
• Helping with mobility around the home
• Overseeing medication and providing medical support
• Helping with housework such as cleaning and vacuuming
• Preparing and cooking meals
• Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions
