- About This Role
At Home Instead, we support people in our local community to stay at home, where they feel happiest and most comfortable.
We are looking for caring individuals to visit local clients in Urmston and Stretford.
At Home Instead, we understand that delivering high-quality care can’t be done in rushed visits.
That’s why we offer a minimum visit time of 1 hour, with sufficient travel time in between.
This allows you to give each client the time and attention they deserve.
We also carefully match our Care Professionals with clients based on personality, skills, and interests.
For any new client visit, you’ll be accompanied by a colleague who will introduce and support you, ensuring you feel confident and connected from the start.
Please note for this vacancy you must be able to commit to working hours that include at least 3 weekdays plus alternate weekends, with shifts of 8:30am - 2:30pm and 4pm - 10pm.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Home Care Assistant
- Provide companionship and emotional support – from a friendly chat to sharing hobbies
- Support with light housekeeping such as cleaning, tidying and laundry
- Prepare meals or assist clients with cooking their favourite dishes
- Accompany clients to appointments, shops or local cafés
- Support with personal care including showering, dressing and preparing for bed
- Keep accurate records and report any concerns following company policy
- Administer medication and record appropriately
Requirements
- No experience required – full paid training is provided
- Previous personal or professional care experience is an advantage
- Must have a caring, friendly personality and be confident in conversation
- Must have a full driving licence and your own vehicle
- Must be reliable and able to work alternate weekends
