Your purpose
- Produce dishes on time and to the expected standard, ensuring that each item that reaches the pass is correctly garnished and portioned, presented on the prescribed serving dish.
- Maintain levels of control regarding food hygiene and safety including HACCP at all times.
- Ensure sufficient mise in place is produced for each service and that any unused items are correctly labelled and stored.
- Effectively manage stock and ensure that food is kept under optimum conditions.
- Ensure that any anticipated shortages, missing items or menu updates are communicated promptly to the Front of House team.
- Display the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation of both your station and the Kitchen in general.
- Manage the Pastry Kitchen, from service to team management and training.
- Ensure orders for the following day are placed accurately and on time.
- Be fully aware of and adhere to Health & Safety, food hygiene, fire and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure licensing laws are abided, including measures and legal age requirements.
- Report all faulty equipment, machinery and service-ware to the management team.
