At the heart of every successful private members club is a thriving and engaging community. Home House and Home Grown welcome individual characters and, through their varied events and service culture, create a convivial environment in which their community flourishes. The two clubs share the same values; however, the fundamental difference between the two is the purpose. Home Grown is for business and Home House is for socialising.
Responsibilities
- Drive membership acquisition: new enquiries, show‑arounds, general enquiries, application process.
- Work fluently, using initiative on best practices and sales workflows including the PeopleVine CRM.
- Make proactive sales calls to qualified leads to introduce the community and establish their needs.
- Maintain clear and consistent messaging in line with our core values, brand narrative and sales goals.
- Follow the Membrane sales process to target prospective members.
- Attend weekly sales meetings to provide an update on progress with regard to sales workflows.
- Use the existing CRM and reporting structure to provide detailed monthly updates on all sales activity.
- Attend member events to meet with existing members and identify future prospects.
- Attend external networking events to increase awareness of the club and target potential new members.
- Develop relationships with members and potential members with a view to forming recommendations to improve the membership experience.
- Collate and share membership feedback.
- Proactively suggest ideas for new events, societies and parties that both develop the membership experience and drive club revenue and profitability.
- Ensure that the processes to safeguard and protect the security and integrity of the customer database are followed under GDPR guidelines.
- Work to agreed monthly, quarterly and annual renewal targets.
- Handle prospective and existing members in such a way that sales and profitability are maintained.
- Maintain the renewals tracker and update on member renewals / leavers weekly.
- Ensure the management team is aware of any member’s specific feedback or requirements.
- Ensure the phone lines are covered at all times and alert the Reception team if everyone is out of office.
- Ensure that any requests to terminate or amend membership are dealt with efficiently and that every effort is made to retain the member.
- Deal with complaints calmly and tactfully and suggest a reasonable course of action to resolve any complaints.
- Remain within annual departmental budgets and plans.
- Follow the club’s processes and procedures at all times.

- Proactive and results‑driven with experience in membership or hospitality sales.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong relationship‑building skills.
- Experience using CRM and sales insight tools like People Vine and Membrain.
- A passion for hospitality and community building.
