Overview

Maintenance Surveyor – Circa £50,000 to £55,000 pa (depending on experience) plus 34 days leave and health cash plan.

  • 1x Permanent, full-time (37.5 hpw)
  • 1x Temporary 6 months, full time (37.5 hpw)
  • Covering areas across Twickenham, Uxbridge, Kingston plus North & West London

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out inspections, surveys and diagnose issues to keep our customers' homes safe, well maintained and compliant.
  • Scope repairs and improvements with clear practical solutions, supporting trades and contractors by providing technical advice and guidance.
  • Manage disrepair cases and manage complex cases such as damp and mould.
  • Oversee works and track progress against specifications, schedules and standards.
  • Make sure empty homes are ready to re-let quickly.

You have:

  • HNC, HND or Degree in Surveying or a Construction-related discipline, or MCIOB and strong post-qualification experience.
  • PCAQT and HHSRS qualification, or willingness to complete it after joining us.
  • Strong understanding of building pathology and ability to diagnose complex works such as subsidence.
  • Current knowledge of relevant housing and building legislation and experience of Construction Design Management (CDM) client and design side.
  • Experience diagnosing property condition and scoping for remedial works, working with DLO teams and contractors.

The practical bits

  • You’ll work Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days in the office near where you live and the rest working across your patch and from home.
  • You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes. We’ll pay for your business mileage.
  • You need a Basic DBS check done, and we also pay for that.
