Home, a place where you belong. This is a great job opportunity for you to join our leasehold retirement team as our Scheme Manager. You will ensure the smooth running of our retirement community by managing our buildings and ensuring our customers are always supported to live independently in their own home.

What you'll do:

  • Managing the scheme on behalf of our residents, ensuring that our buildings are safe, secure and meet required safety standards.
  • Providing visibility on the scheme, engaging with customers, responding to calls and providing a warm, safe and welcoming environment.
  • Ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming.
  • Working with partner contractors for any repairs and maintenance works required in communal living areas.
  • Signposting customers to relevant services to support their welfare and make a difference to their lives.

You have:

  • A passion for providing excellent customer service and the ability to build great relationships with customers from all different backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of the health and social issues that affect older people.
  • Some experience in safeguarding and carrying out risk assessments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different partners.
  • Strong administrative skills, being able to manage accounts, budgets and invoicing for any repairs to our buildings, communal areas and gardens.
  • Flexibility to adapt your working hours – let us know about this when you meet us at the interview.
  • Communication skills to use technology for updating records, completing online learning and collaborating with other colleagues.
  • An Enhanced DBS check – we pay for that.

Working hours: We mainly work Monday to Friday. The great news is that you’ll be able to shape your own diary.
