What you’ll do
There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from assisting customers with their practical, daily living tasks to working through support plans, helping them to achieve independence. One shift you might be working a sleep-in, making sure you’re available for overnight support, the next you might be working the day shift and enjoying fish and chips by the sea with your customer. You’ll be helping our vulnerable customers in a variety of services. You might find yourself working in accommodation-based services, a registered care home or supporting our customers in a community or home-based setting. You have flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Support Worker. It is important that you have worked in this type of environment before.
- A positive, can do and caring attitude, with the desire to learn to continue making a difference to our customers' lives.
- Previous experience of working with support plans, recording, and using information concisely and effectively.
- If you are a real people person and are confident working in different services, locations, and teams, then this is the job for you.
- Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans / doing mandatory learning / keeping in touch with colleagues.
- To get from A to B, you’ll need a valid driving licence and a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
